There were two outages that lasted about 15 minutes each. After contacting HE, it seem our uplink provider was doing "emergency maintenance" on their network. They stated since it was an emergency, no advanced notice could be sent of the outage.
This is an example of why our dedicated provider has invested over $15,000 into new equipment and obtained their own ip allocations directly from ARIN. Soon, we will be sending our ip allocation information and receive replacements.
What this means (getting our own ip allocations) is that our network will be multi-homed, so that if as it did today, our provider goes down, our 2ndary provider will automatically pick up our bandwidth.
